  (2) WWII-ERA JAPANESE BAYONETS A lot of two Japanese bayonets for the Type 99 rifle from different periods of the war. One comes from earlier in the war with the characteristic hook-curved guard and full metal scabbard, the other coming from the "last-ditch" period with a much simpler overall design in a wooden scabbard. Both bayonets have significant surface rust, particularly around the handles and on the scabbards, while both blades have been somewhat protected by being sheathed.
